Sahara Forest Project is featured by the Dutch public broadcaster VPRO TV. In the weekly news documentary series ‘Backlight’ the Sahara Forest Project is shown as an example of how technology can provide all basic needs such as energy, clean drinking water and food for the growing world population. The documentary is already made into an international version for distribution outside the Netherlands.
Qatar TV has featured the Sahara Forest Project in a documentary on food security in Qatar. CEO Joakim Hauge was interviewed in Doha prior to Qatar TV’s visit to the Sahara Forest Project pilot facility in Mesaieed Industrial City.
HE Malek Kabariti, a longtime supporter of the Sahara Forest Project, is appointed Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources in Jordan.
