FEASIBILITY STUDY

The partners of the Sahara Forest Project are now in the process of conducting a thorough feasibility study. The study will point to suitable locations for the project. Further the study will also describe the results of computer modeling and engineering calculations that explore the synergies between the technologies. This work is to be finalized by December 2009 and the main results are to be presented at the United Nations Climate Conference in Copenhagen.

DEMONSTRATION CENTRE

From early 2010 the partners will work towards a speedy realization of a Sahara Forest Demonstration Centre. Such a facility will allow for comparison of theoretical predictions with empirical measurements. The Demonstration Centre will also allow for further investigation into a number of secondary opportunities and benefits.

LARGE SCALE IMPLEMENTATION

With the necessary amount of data from the Demonstration Centre the partners will work to ensure a large-scale commercial roll-out of the Sahara forest Project. The target will be to ensure restorative growth on multiple locations within few years.
